International Sound Effects Library
The primary purpose of this site is to offer sound effects that have been recorded around the world for (but not limited to) the film and television audio post production community. While we do offer specific type sound effects there is a strong emphasis on ambiences, atmospheres and obscure recordings. Please feel free to search through the library to see what we have to offer. Check back with us regularly as we are continuously adding to our database.
All our sound effects are selectively recorded in stereo and are carefully edited and mastered to be full, rich and wide. Compression and other leveling tools have been used judiciously to create sounds that are lively and dynamic yet controlled. All recordings are fully mono compatible with no phase issues at a sample rate of 44.1 kHz and a resolution of 16 bit for optimal audio CD reproduction. Our online sound library offers MP3 samples for you to download and preview. Please be aware that these segments are presented at sample rate of only 22.050 kHz for speedier downloads and therefore are of diminished quality. If there is no link to a sample which interests you, please send us an email and we will get one up right away.
Most of our atmospheres and ambiences are quite substantial in length, (mostly about 5 minutes) in order to give the sound editor ample material to work with avoiding the need for repetition.
Since these recordings are made with film and television in mind they are extremely well suited for international films as well as Music & Effects only versions for international distribution.
